4 Channel Optical Crossbar
The 4 Channel Optical Crossbar module offers full 3R signal regeneration bundled with a free configurable crossbar matrix for data rates from 50 Mbps up to 2.7 Gbps. This module includes a flexible switchable crossbar logic. It allows free allocation of four channels – besides the protection of the optical link. Plenty of different applications are possible: Twin converter for point-to-point links with high port density, hardware-redundant configuration, channel protection and signal multiplication (Broadcast). The Optical Crossbar converter is designed as a plug-in module card, which is installed into a modular converter system. A potential free alarm contact, which can be used for the connection to external alarm systems, is a further feature.
