Lanode release a range of Gigabit & Fast Ethernet Switches specifically for Power Substation & Transportation use
London – 31st March 2014 – Lanode, a specialist provider of networking, transmission and data communication solutions is pleased to announce the introduction of a range of Gigabit & Fast Ethernet Switches, specifically aimed at Power Substation and Transportation applications. This expands an already extensive portfolio of both Managed & Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Solutions.
Featuring 8x10/100/100Base-T + 3x100/1000Base-X SFP Managed Switches, which are designed to meet the demands of Power Substation systems and are fully compliant with the requirement of IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613. Both Gigabit & Fast Ethernet versions are available with Dual isolated DC input or AC + isolated DC input. The switches provide a variety of redundant functions to increase the reliability of your communications system, including redundant and isolated power supplies (24/48 VDC) and 110/220 VDC/VAC), STP/RSTP/MSTP and ITU-T G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (recovery time<50ms).
For Transportation there are two non-managed Fast Ethernet switches which provide either 5(8)x 10/100Base-TX Fast Ethernet ports or 8x 10/100Base-TX Fast Ethernet ports with 4 ports having IEEE 802.3at/af compliant PoE+ (Power over Ethernet). These switches are classified as power source equipment (PSE) and provide up to 30 watts of power per port. Ethernet ports utilise M12 connectors to ensure tight, robust connections and guarantee reliable operation against environmental disturbances such as vibration and shock. They are compliant with EN 50155, covering operating temperature, power input voltage, surge, ESD, vibration, and shock, thus making these switches suitable for industrial applications in vehicle, rolling stock and railways.
Donal McDonnell, Managing Director of Lanode commented “We continue to seek complimentary products to meet specific industry or sector requirements and the release of these Power Substation & Transportation switches will be an invaluable addition to our portfolio of networking, transmission and data communication solutions.”.
