Transition Networks’ Carrier Ethernet solution delivers the promise of simplicity deployed. Designed to automate the entire service lifecycle, accelerate the rollout of MEF CE 2.0 services and support stringent performance SLA's, this comprehensive solution includes CE 2.0 compliant demarcation devices, access switches, and the Converge™ element and service management platform. Devices are designed to support a wide range of MEF-based Carrier Ethernet services for Mobile Backhaul, Business Ethernet, Cloud Assurance and Carrier Exchange E-Access Services.

Transition Networks’ Converge™ platform is designed to simplify service provisioning with rapid service design and automated service activation capabilities. The products feature advanced Service OAM (IEEE 802.1ag and ITU Y.1731) Performance and Fault Management for strong performance assurance in business, mobile backhaul and cloud services while reducing operational expenses.

Converge™ is one of the first industry management platforms that integrates MEF defined CE 2.0 services and features template based provisioning that takes the complexity out of the provisioning process today while its open architecture and REST APIs provide a path forward for new software defined services and applications.

Access to customer edge can be the most complex portion of a carrier’s network. With Transition Networks’ integrated CE 2.0 solution, providers benefit from the simplicity of a single vendor from access to edge. These new products help service providers compete effectively with simplified access to edge service turn-up and prepare their networks to support dynamic, on-demand and differentiated service options for business, mobile backhaul and cloud services.

Transition Networks was one of the first to achieve CE 2.0 certification in January 2013 for its S3280 Remotely Managed NID. The S4140 10GE NID demarcation device enables service providers to address growing bandwidth needs for next-generation services. The two new Carrier Ethernet switches, S4212 (12 ports) and S4224 (24 ports), aggregate traffic from demarcation devices for efficient transport to the core network.

Recently released is the Transition Networks’ managed S3290 NID which provides advanced packet performance metering and service creation directly at customer premises and cell sites. The S3290 is optimized for business Ethernet and mobile backhaul deployments. The S3290 is a multi-service NID that provides SLA-assurance and advanced fault management that is MEF CE2.0 certified. IEEE 802.1ag Service OAM, ITU Y.1731 Performance Monitoring and IEEE 802.3ah Link OAM are standard features. The S3290 supports advance features such as IPv6 and IPv4, VLANs, QoS, bandwidth allocation, ring protection, jumbo frames and numerous security features.

These new products offer mobile backhaul providers the unique capability to convert between Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588v2 synchronization methods while maintaining clock accuracy. Additional features include service activation capabilities to assist with circuit turn-up and maintenance and linear and ring protection capabilities for sub-50 millisecond failover providing service redundancy.
